Straddling over 80 square miles between the Salta and Jujuy provinces, the “Salinas Grandes” offer surreal landscapes that combine the flat white salt valley surrounded by the Andes Mountain range in the distance. The drive from Purmamarca is just as scenic as well as you will drive straight up into the heart of the mountains reaching a maximum elevation of over 13,000 feet at the Lipan pass.
