Mendoza is a growing city and to a lesser extent, most of the safety recommendations made for Buenos Aires will apply. Crime in the other cities and towns you’ll visit in Argentina is quite rare and no special precautions need to be noted. You may notice stray dogs in some of the towns you visit, but they don’t bother people. Although they aren’t dangerous, as a general rule it isn’t recommended that you try to pet them.
