Puerto Piramides is the focal point for whale watching excursions by boat as it offers the closest access to the Nuevo Gulf where many of the Southern Right Whales can be found. You’ll be out on the water for about an hour to get a close look at these gentle giants weighing up to 40 tons and measuring about 50 feet in length. You’ll be amazed at how curious these incredible mammals are as they approach your watercraft idling in the water. Your activity is on a smaller zodiac rather than the larger boats to allow your experience to be more intimate.
